Holy Fark the water has gone cold down here this weekend

My hands are still aching.

I was talking to one guy who said he just got back from Cresent and it was even cold up there.

How is it around your way

I just had a look at coastalwatch and it says 19.5, it sure felt colder than that .

I don't think coastal watch updates the temp daily ... (?)..

Could be that East Coast Subterranean Low / Under Water Cold Water Cyclone, or whatever it is called.... It was cold there in '06 or '07 at this time...

Yes, i remember a christmas about 5 years ago when it was around 14.

It was so cold it even made the papers and the nightly news.

I strolled down in the blazing sun with just my boardies and didn't even last 1 wave.

I think I had 3 adams apples that day.

Same here ,surfed the early with my Bordie's and singlet and holy s**t my legs went numb The boys with the steamers where having a good laugh at my expense.Took about 1 hour to tho out.

Yep it was still a bit nippy on the goldy this morning - I reckon it was no more than maybe 22' at best brrrrrrrrrrrrr (it was actually too hot for a shortjohn this morning by 0600 - so when I got out at 0700 I was well and truly baked.)

Apparently the phenomenon is called "Ekmans Transport"

So Ekmans Transport is responsible for me never being able to father another child
