I actually like surfing in the colder weather, I dont know what it is, less crowds, better swell. Something about getting out there when its cold and miserable I actually really enjoy it.

Maybe its the Canadia in me.

I'm with you bro...I love the cold...keeps the kook count down and cycles the lineup quickere when the max most people can stand to be in the water is a couple of hours

same here Tux , but hasnt really got cold as yet .

had to laugh few weeks ago had a sunday afternoon surf on a beautiful day , chucked on the steamer out of habit and absolutely cooked .

got out and a couple of tourists walked passed shaking their heads and asking me how cold I was . I was cooking

I like fewer crew out. But that first duck dive when the ice cold water hits your face and your cheeks, ears and nose instantly go numb is not great..

I hate the cold. I'm thankful people are softer than me on the goldy because all you need is rain and the crowd thins out. Spent 2 hours in boardies with 23 degree water. I love this shiz we had head high up here mac one loony on a longboard was killing it. Not Asea just another mad man

Refreshing

Had a bloke out here on Sunday morning had a swim then jumped on a 666 for a paddle for an hour in board shorts

I meantime had booties , vest and steamer on as you can see in the 666 forum .
And had the heated vest in the kombi as backup in case it turned cold

cant go too warm too early otherwise there is no room for improvement when real winter kicks in
