Here I sit without much mirth
Went to my break and could not surf

Not too much joy in old Sydney Town this easter, as far as waves are concerned

I'm up at sparows fart to check it out each day but it seems all I'm doing is sitting in the car keeping my Gomer Piles nice and warm while sipping coffee.

Managed a good sesh yesterday arvo but that was only because the Munoz can pick up really crap waves so I was getting everything that came through.

Managed a surf both saturday and yesterday with vandersback on the rolla todayyesterday this guy was checking out vanders board and after saying my goodbyes to vanders I stagger up the hill to the carpark and the same guy starts asking question about my board,he is up from Newcastle way and a seasoned warrior.

We chatted for 30 mins or so and seebreeze come up mid conversation,seems he logs in but has not signed up to post,one thing he said was that doggie is a funny bloke shagging those chicks and that obct sounds like a top blokeI told him who I was and he just pissed himself laughing,so doggie is makes waves down in Newie.

Anyway off to paint more walls,hope things improve for you obct,at least you have a board that can get you wet no matter what

PS,if he does log on he will go under the name of Tank

I think that's where the dude who shapes those really nice Isaac Fields pigs for Bennett's comes from.

I was very tempted to call him recently to ask if he could do one to suit an overweight old kook like me. But in the end I thought better of it and decided it would be just a waste of money.

I would have asked for 9'6 & 24" at the widest point and I doubt it would have worked the way it should with dims like that.

I think it would go well at 24".....the last one I made is 25" & feels better every surf.
I'm about to start another one
A 60's classic, triple stringer, wood fin & tail block. This "may" be the last one I make for myself. Looking at 2 or 3 weeks & all done.

Last day of the break and still no luck.

Got desperate yesterday and went in at Manly but only because the surface conditions were reasonably smooth.

I may just go home and start packing for next weekends trip north, that may cheer me up

G'day Mac, I've got some great boards now, this next one I'm going to make a 60's special, look good & surf good...I've got too many boards, think I may sell a couple

I've got my house for sale now, I live far too far away from the surf & enough boards, the last one I made is fantastic & feels better everytime I surf it
