Is it that much better?

I'm guessing it's what we used to get.... In fact, we're probably all streaming the same image, except now the "full screen mode" has been removed. I think if you pay, you're probably just getting the ability to full screen, and improving clarity.

But I haven't seen the so called "+". I'm just guessing it is what we used to get.... Small screen isn't too bad anyway.... Half the time the camera lens is a bit foggy, insects crawling across the screen, or in bad weather you can't see much anyway.... rain on the lens when the surf can still be pumping.

The camera's give me a good guide on swell. I'm not really a "crack of dawn" person most days. So I check the report, the wind, the swell info from BOM, & Coastalwatch, and view the Coastalwatch footage, and SwellNet photos. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's done within the time to drink my lovely coffee !!

But once I've done those checks, I know in an instant where I'll be surfing, and with what equipment. About 1 in 30 times I'm wrong, come back for a board swap and location options. 1 in 30 times I'm slightly under gunned. Similar, very occasionally over gunned.

Swell net have updated they cams of snap,it pans from Kirra to Snapper awesome shot from a highrise or Kirra hill.

Im happy with the Trigg Point surf cam and graph, only takes pics but thats all you really need and updates every minute. Works for me

what a crock, coastalwatch making us pay for this when hes killin it in advertising. i reckon bouycot the dick
