this one?
As the internet is really slow here at Teahupo'o its hard to load any frame grabs up. Today was a historic day. It was a 5.30 am check in. And when the ocean was roaring like it was last night it really hard to sleep well. I recon I've had 6/7 hours sleep over the last 2 days.
It's almost 9pm now and you can still hear the ocean BOMBING.
Today started on a high note with perfect light, off shore lite winds & 8 to 10 foot surf.
By 9am the bombs started to appear. Laurie Towner got smokers as did Dylan Longbottom - Laird Hamilton was towing as was Raimana Van Bastolaer. In short it was slow but when the big ones came they were truly magnificent. There was carnage with Laurie crunching his head and sent off to hospital to get stitches. (he's ok) Camera systems were lost as were a number of jet skis. But what was the real highlight was Manoa doing his own thing outside the Hollywood hoo ha & towing his little brother Matahi into some amazing waves. For a 17 year old this kid dominated.. Matahi Drollet has enormous talent. Plus he's a really nice kid too. Anyway, all 50 camera's shooting for POINT BREAK 2 all got some incredible footage. And tomorrow is just another day in paradise..FROTHING!
