My tide watch is an older model, looks a little bit similar to this, except with the added tide dials, and moon phase. Still going strong. 10 years old. Looks about 1 year old. Extremely durable.

Ripcurl Rincon....I'm on my second one as they only seem to last about 5 years but at $200 you can't really complain...tide time and height, moon..it even tells the time...lol
Thanks guys, some good options, much better result than the SB room but I should have expected it given the level of wisdom here.
i've had 7 rip curls in 10 years or more- they all **** themselves. had half repaired but that didn't do much. dear ones, cheaper ones- same result. first lasted a bit then the stuffed cycle started coming around quicker yep im a slow learner
got a vestal now. so good so far
Cheaper Casio here as an option. I have had mine for a year with no dramas and its still going. No doubt that a g shock would be better, but at 200 bucks or more perhaps a bit prohibitive.
I think mine was in the order of $49 on special at BCF.....?
