Can anyone help identify who made this board?

Hi everyone,
A few months ago I took pity on an old longboard that I found on Marketplace, brought it home and patched up the 28 dings it had.
The original plan was to fix, ride then flip it coming in to summer but after I rode it a few times I realised it was too good a board to part with.
The only thing I have to go on is the fish skeleton decal which has the word Gil at the tail.
Can anyone shed some light on it?
Thanks in advance.

Well I now know my board is not a one off, a mate just sent me these pics of one for sale.

I found another one, surely someone must know about this brand of board?

Put it up in one of the vintage surfboard collector groups on face book. Those blokes are a wealth of knowledge

It's a long shot but you could trawl through here:
www.surfcrazy.com/stanleys/html/logos.html

Good reference to have handy.
Not sorted by design though. Just name. There is a Gill (double L not single L), from Sth Melbourne, not a fish skeleton however.
