I gave them up many years ago and switched back to ankle, but recently I needed a new rope in a hurry and could only get the length I wanted in calf (against my better judgement I had to get a Creatures, I'm strictly a Balin or O&E guy usually) so I thought, what the heck, they can't be that bad, I used them for a long time.

I soon remembered why I did not like them, as I pop up, the rope sometimes flicks forward between your feet and you end up either standing on it, or sometimes even have it caught between your toes.

Then I remembered that you need to have them positioned so that they stick out 90 degrees from the side of your calf, rather than trail behind you.

Once I did that, the tangles subsided dramatically, but then the other problem came up, as you paddle to adjust your position, while you're sitting on the board, you're constantly hitting it with your hand, I admit that's not a life threatening situation, just annoying.

Am I being just a bit too precious, or do others dislike them? I'm too much of a tight arse to buy another rope before the 12 months is up.

I only use ankle ...and have no probs ..but I have noticed indentations in front of side fin near the rail caused by the leggie connection joint when going from sitting to paddling ...this is on a Mctav fireball which is lightly glassed ..never had this problem on the Evo etc

I just bought a calf rope to go with my Pieter noserider. I must say that it is not very comfortable and it needs to be on tight or it slips down my leg on a big wave wipe out. Anyway at least you can use them on your ankle if required.

I prefer a calf. When walking around it doesn't seem to get in the way. If I put it on my ankle now it just feels wrong. Do you ever find if you have it on your ankle that you end up sitting on the leg rope if you go from in the water then straight to sitting on the board.

You can have the Chianti I bring

I love the bommie.

That reminds me, lets try to do a BBQ on the next trip, there's a good butcher across the road and the Facilities are always kept spotless up there.

I'll try to bring up a few BBQ tools.

90% certain, I've even commenced an intensive training schedule in the lead up
I'm already up to 12 schooners a night plus a half a gallon of rough red, just before bed. I know that does not sound like it will be anywhere near enough to match it with you guys, but I'm sure I can improve a lot before the trip.

I'll be adding a full bottle of brandavino to the mix this weekend

Riding 10'6 and 11 foot barges a calf leash feels a bit more secure as well.

It could work, NSFW

The basic components are out there in the market place

www.amazon.com/Trinity-Vibes-Cock-Ring-Holster/dp/B007KL4OKY/ref=pd_sim_121_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B007KL4OKY&pd_rd_r=8C9K0FS9JMN8YW6128YQ&pd_rd_w=tewF2&pd_rd_wg=EcaKj&psc=1&refRID=8C9K0FS9JMN8YW6128YQ

We just need the right marketing strategy and a catchy slogan.

"Okay folks, what's more important, your nuts or your board? well here's a great little product that'll keep em both safe"

" Stop stretching your nut sack with an anvil, let the ball leash and a good wipeout do it for you"

"Sick and tired of scrotal sacks that don't keep your knees warm? get the all new and improved testicle leash and in just a couple of wipeouts, you'll have that bag o nuts bang'n on your ankles in no time"

The potential of this product is endless, should we apply for a patent or a copy write?
