Any of you boys from QLD live near or around Burleigh and able to give me the low down on living in the area?

The wife and kids fancy a sea change and they're pretty keen on Burleigh as they've heard great things.

I'm happy if I can get to surf everyday

Thanks Mac,

I guess the main things are:

Is it realistic to commute to Brisbane everyday from Burleigh? Car or PT
Is it a nice place to bring up kids (2 under 4) with plenty to do?
Does it get crazy busy with tourists?
Whats the community like ie. age demographic, feel of the place, pace

We would obviously have a trip up there before jumping in with both feet, but just keen to get a locals thoughts up front.

Thanks again Mac, really appreciate it.

There are a few sides to burleigh some good and some not.
Yes you can catch a train to brissie Ii hour to the city.
Some nice parks and walks for the family.
Yes full of tourists car parking around the beach and point a nightmare.
Locals well most good some bad just like anywhere, surf wise hard core locals
rule, best to fast tracked by joining the boardriders club either short or longboard both very strong and good clubs.I'll send you a pm when I get some time re other stuff.

from what i understand mac burleigh boarder riders have closed their books unless your a ****hot kid or junior.

that club is rolling in dough, but they work hard

also it a tough gig to be considered a local at burleigh, not that i get into the stuff.

its all free in my books
