I reckon it'll be a top read, there's few around who can say they managed to stay at the top of their field for so long.

We had on shore slop again today but I managed to get a few fun waves at longy.

I had to get out early because I kept floating into bunches of stingers, blue bottles and these other ones about the size of your fist and a purple colour, not sure if they had the same sting as a blue bottle but I wasn't prepared to take the chance.

BTW, if you think I'm being a bit girly, I probably am and not because of the blue bottle sting, that's not a big deal. The problem is about 10 hours later when I break out in a very annoying rash because I'm allergic to whatever it is that's in the sting, I think it's a histamine.

Sure, that's OK for me because all the spots I surf are in the middle of a city of 4 million people and hardly a secret, but I'm guessing that a few of the out of town blokes don't like to advertise

Speaking of waves in big cities, I was looking at a recent story on surfline.com about a bit of swell hitting the northeast coast of the states around the outer banks, New Jersey and New York.

looking at the pics made me really appreciate what we have here, the water looks really funny, it's kind of dirty looking, the waves are either this poopy brown colour or a really dirty olive green.

Isn't that a coincidence, apparently he's down near my place on the weekend of the 5th to the 8th at some sort of surfing festival.

I usually stay away from those things like the plague but I may just pop down to have a look.

Dreadful place for parking, Manly council don't allow anything for miles around the beach. I'm almost better off to park in my own shire at Harboard and walk down to queeny.

Good enough reason for me to get the hell out of dodge this weekend.

Though the morning of the earth concert would be pretty cool - you'll need the pushy to get out to the concert site though.
