How do you guys move your boards on?

I used Seabreeze to sell a 666 and it was gone within an hour could have sold it 5 times in 24 hrs. I also put my Sweet Potato up on Gumtree and that went within a few hours - also could have sold that to 3 others. I priced both boards to sell as I needed to move them but was pretty happy with the response. Talk about instant cashola in the sky rocket! I used to use ebay but they annoy me these days with how much commission they take and I also find with boards it better if the people can see them first - esp as both of these boards were well used. So I find it much less hassle later on if they know what they are getting when the money departs their hands.

There is a bloke up here who will sell them for ya for approx. $30 - $40 commission but that can take a while.

I think I am going to stick with Gumtree for surfboards.

I'm the same ted.

Only thing I hate about Gumtree is the stupid offers you get for like half the advertised price.

If that's what I wanted to sell it for I would have..

I also mostly use Gumtree, But hate the Scam e-mail / texts that I get sometimes

I now put a little message on the bottom of all my adds, telling scammers not to bother, as I know all the tricks. And this will usually stop all the crappy offers also.

I sold a macT FB for my listed price on ebay no worries. The buyer was travelling through from Cabarita and picked it up on the way through.

Bought a 10"log with O&E travel cover. both blemish free on Gumtree for $400.

Bought a 9'ECS bamboo/carbon fibre HP for $400 on Ebay again blemish free. Why would you buy a board new. A bit like new cars; save yourself the depreciation.

I do love eBay - bug buyer of products on it but when I am selling something in fairly well used condition I find it best to avoid from experience. If in good shape happy to use it as a selling vehicle.

I've used ebay for over 12 years and found it good, but now the fees are going north I've gone to Gummy like others..no fees and you can vet the buyers...just tell the 1/2 pricers to fark off

My local surfshop has also been a good venue to flog my boards @ 10% commish....but the're closing down this month.

The best "extra" I throw in is that I have worked in well with Surfcargo for many years now and offer freight Syd-Goldy @ $60 and offer to arrange it all...a lot of peeps have no idea how to move them around.

I just put a word out to a few mates and often get rid of boards like that. There's always someone sniffing around for a board. Put a fair price on without being unrealistic. Over the last few years there's a guy in town with a shop and I've put a few in there too.

Sold my last 3 boards on gumtree , too easy . Have one still up there , yet to take down , sold in one day . Have learnt from past experience to leave the add up till the board is gone from my garage . - board leaves Tuesday

have bought boards through sea breeze but never managed to sell any - tried twice

i think igumtree gives better local exposure

which ones you selling ted , not the longboard
