Don't sweat it Simondo....as we know, the only way you can make remotely valid comparisons is to have a number of surfers ride the same length boards (say a 9'1) in the same construction from the various manufacturers in the same surf conditions together at the same time. And then do this over a number of days at different breaks at different wave heights, etc.
The Walden magic model actually has about 20 variants when you consider its available in glass, epoxy (vacuum-wrapped, like a Tuflite) and eps/epoxy with carbon rails, across sizes from about 7'2 to 10'0.
And even the Fireball is not that far behind it....being available in the above 3 constructions (minus carbon rails) but the size starts at 9'1.
So i'm as confused as you are as to what this report is actually trying to achieve, but isn't that typical of any product report that trumpets "here are the top 10 widgets". And surfing always has that subjective element - Mark
