I wish I was in SA to give this guy a 6-pack of beers. Legend! Especially the McTavish comments.

That's a cracker!!!

Mchenry should drop him round a beer... but must be crafted in the ancient tradition of the original Iranian beer smiths... because everything since is a total screw up

"A very late 1966/67 malibu by Greg McDonagh. This board is the very last of the longboards, highly refined ultra mega rocker and as good as a 60's longboard gets before the short board revolution "VEE" bottom surfbords by Bob McTavish screw things up! Well yes the short board revolution was going to happen anyway why blame Bob McTavish as responsible he had no idea what he was doing. And lets face it Dick Brewer was doing similar things in Hawaii. Ahh but you know this story anyway. All I am interested in is the ride, the thrill of surfing something that is not available to the general public. Well it's not some modern day pump it out manufacturers that try to get as close to this surfboard as they can bless their hearts. The shaper who shaped this board knew what the FFFFF he was doing. There is no way know that some upstart can come along and just assume he has 30,000 surfboards under his belt. The guy who shaped this board deserves his credit.

Will pack this surfboard as if it was my own, to get it to you in perfect condition because that is what I would expect from you. I have over 15 years of sending surfboards all over Australia and have air freighted surfboards to USA. So basically I know what I am doing. I love old malibu's and see no reason why no one else would not love these beautiful irreplaceable funcitional works of art back in their natural enviroment the sea the surf."

Love it!!!

I've met the seller before. Sold him a fin. He's a really nice guy who has a very nice collection of vintage boards I'm told. I believe he organises out local vintage board show and shine/swap meet here.

But yea, excellent blurb..
