Hanging around the local shop this arvo I pulled this one out of the second hand rack for a closer look, I should have worn my truss, she was a monster.

Real heavy duty glass job, hard to make out all the dims written in pencil on the centre redwood stringer but I know it was 11' x 26.25".

soft down rails, maybe 60/40 and a reasonably continuos rocker from front to back.

Didn't look like there was anything happening on the underside so I figure this ones an absolute wave catching machine with a good glide.

Buggered if I could see who it was made for, looked a bit like "Ryan", but I bet he would have been in the same league as spazz for size.

She was a heavy mother

I am not surprised by its weight having tried to hold Big Spazz's one! And he told me his other one was even heavier......I saw a couple of big boards in Byron that had those 666 handles on them - looked like a good idea to me.

Good post obct - I am looking forward to having a crack on a big board like that one day. Big Spazz picks up waves 20m before they break and waves that I would not even think were possible to ride he his getting them. His wave count is through the roof.

I won't be snapping her up, I love a big board but I still prefer them to be relatively lightweight.

I'm probably wrong about that, I usually am, but hey, that's just me.

Looks to be in perfect condition, except for the odd tail knock... probably from turning corners on the stairs at the beach! That's a long board!

There were a few dings on the underside near the nose, but they looked as if someone had done a good repair job as far a it being well sealed and smooth.

They couldn't quite match the foam unfortunately.

I thought the price was good considering it was in a shop. It was above 500 but if it was sold privately you would probably ask 500.

The problem with these boards is that they have a very small market, this particular shop has admitted to me in the past that they sometimes have struggled to sell the really big boards.

Bad news for them , good news for fat turds like me

And they may have evened talk to you about less just so they could get things moving.

PM me if anyone is interested and I'll tell you where to find it if you haven't guessed already.

I'm more than happy for lurkers to perv on us, but if one of us is interested in a board, I'd prefer those that make the commitment to the forum have first refusal.

I hope they took a few bob off for the fracturing around the tail, if only to help with the freight.

well I'm glad you scored it, if only for the fact that if it had stayed down there for too much longer, I would have been tempted.

He must have felt the need to get a performance shortboard, that's probably why he bought this one

Hi guys, it looks identical to a board a little retired guy who used to surf here used to own. cost him a pretty penny but he was loaded. I know he sold it here about 3 years ago, it was in perfect nick then but still to expensive for me. If it is the same board it looked sweet! Something over 10 ft would be fun to try one day.......

so it has arrived, it looks interesting. Not anything special about the design it is very flat with a slight concave in the nose and heaps of nose rocker. The board carries most of its width right in the center which will be fun. As OBCT stated, the board is 26 1/4 WIDE, i repeat, 26 1/4 WIDE!!!! ****.... there is plenty of depression on the underside and top side, something which i will fill in starting tomz night. The tail pulls in to quite a little square tail, so hopefully it will be no prob to turn. Walking should be fine, but getting to the nose will be a challenge with so much rocker.

The fin that came with it looked like ur average 10inch greenough except with a flower pattern on it, so, free fin to anyone who wants it. The box is a nice at 10inch's long, so yet to decide what fin i will get made but might go something old school.

many thanks to OBCT for this find, howlying NE here today so no trial run for me. Hopefully on thursday :) yew
