Geez this place is fecking juvenile sometimes. You blokes need to learn to ignore him, don't even bother to reply, including pm's and he'll get bored and go away. Water, duck, back.
Anyway....

I was taken to a wave somewhere once that was similar to this but a left. Full on mission to get to, a couple of road hours blindfolded, followed by another couple of horror "track" and then a mega beach run, with the prerequisite chewed up whale carcass on the way. All the while with just massive, massive beachies breaking hundreds of meters out to sea. With me thinking fark that there's no bloody way I'm trying to paddle out there.
After thirty odd k's the beach has curved right out to sea and turned into a huge rock headland that blocks the swell, with the majority of it pumping straight past, just huuuuuge corduroy lines sweeping left to right. Inside that, breaking twenty meters off the bottom of the headland is a two to three foot refracted sand bottom Desert Point.
Draining and reeling for hundreds of meters across the bank and growing down the line until linking up with the mega beachie down the bay and if you made the mistake of letting it take you that far you got the hiding of a lifetime and the scariest deep water paddle in though deep dark channels between several different sets of banks.
Only did that on the first one, after that it was bail out after the first couple of hundred meters, where you were only 150 m or so off the beach.
Mad, mad, mad wave and I couldn't tell you where it was even if I did have the inclination.
