CCCs thread has just been locked next door, about time I would say

Funny, some of it was bloody funny. Some wasnt.

The otherside lacks a sense of humour and too many purists.

Scotty, yes "purists" as stand-up is all they will do.

Not wrong. Btw glad you went with the wrc slats as hardwood will run and stain big time. Nice looking house simondo.

Scotty, the wrc slats are also for weight saving. Hardwood density is roughly 0.8, and wrc is only 0.35 or less. Less than half the weight for the garage door motor to lift!

Old mate next door went for a solid Spotted Gum garage door. Cost him over $8k just to get it fixed properly... basically rebuilt it with a heavier frame and a heavier duty engine to drive the stupid thing!

God I typed a response and deleted it about 5 times for that silly thread.

Wise choice simondo. Cedar looks fantastic when it's new but it's all down hilll from there as it will never look that good again. Tip: sand back and use a cedar stain as the pigment will give it colour. Clear treatment is no good.

Yeh, I don't know if it's good or bad.
On one account it reminds me of the wonderful stay I had with the family last year at Treasure Island, Fiji.
Then again it reminds me I'm not there. It's good for now.
Kicking back on the beach with the Mrs, drinking Fiji Bitters watching the sunset with the kids having a swim in front was paradise.
