Hi all,

I am going to take a 6 day break from the grind and go to Bali in 2 weeks. Staying in a private villa in Sanur. First time in Bali so thought I should cross it off the bucket list. I'm not going specifically for surfing or any reason other than just a break.

I'm not sure what or where the waves would be for an intermediate longboarder of 30 years but would take a mid-length if I take a board at all. If I do go surfing it would be for a chill session rather than chasing mountains.

Would be happy to hire a surf guide but looking for some recommendations on the best way to approach this.

Cheers

If your staying for 2 weeks you have heaps of time to explore ,make sure you do,if you need a great driver let me know he knows all the best places to surf and do on land.

I like Sanur, great place to stay Oct-Mar to sneak up somewhere North or with the Toll Rd its really easy to pop down to the Nusa Dua reefs. This time of year though the SE Tradewind kicks in real early. So you wanna be in the water on sunrise. For a longboard your best bets are Serangan & Sri Lanka. I've been in Bali a week now & the winds kicked up by about 8am everday. So if you hit an East coast spot you might get up to 2 hours & have the rest of the day to chill...havagood1
