Had another look of Kohli shouldering arms to SOK. Kohli's reaction had a little bit of Mike Gatting about it.

Nice victory for sure. Well played......but one game does not make a summer

I enjoyed how your boys overcame that dreadful pitch and beat them at their own game. Great stuff

Interesting fact - in their 85 year test history India have only recovered once after loosing the opening test of a 4 or 5 match series to win the series. That was 44 years ago in 1973 against England at home.

Being a numbers man (I work in bank) one of the things I love about cricket is the endless stats & records which can be referenced to support / counter just about every situation or opinion.

Numbers though are only half the story, ie who is the greatest fast bowler? DK, Trueman, Ohh Ahh, Marshall, Holding, Lindwall?

Can you compare batsman past & present? Uncovered pitches, protection/ helmets, smaller grounds, bigger bats, better fielders, fitness / strength. Bradman is stand out, does anyone really rate Adam Vogues the 2nd best batsman of all time on a purely statistical average? He only played a handful of tests but where does Barry Richards sit?

Who,is better Tendulka or Lara?

Which was better SCG innings Lara 277, Tendulkar 2004 when he only played in front of the wicket b/w cover & mid wicket, Dean Jones 190 odd against England 86/87.

Lots of questions there Daz.
I'm hoping they're rhetorical.
Too much thinking required

Warnie is probably feeling a great sense of relief right now - and not just because of the bird he took to Chris Martins birthday gig last night Lyon on fire.

about the only one in India. Just watched Kohli's dismal, out for the second time in three innings shouldering arms. Not a good for the leading India batsman.

Kohli gets DRS wrong again.

Ttea on Day 3 - hopefully we wrap them up quickly after tea with not too many to chase.

Aussies 4/75 and require 118 more runs for victory.

Pitch has more cracks then a Thai brothel.

India too good.

Mitch Marsh 13 runs & 5 overs across the match. He would be sweating like a Kiwi in a spelling test.

At the start of the summer, I think the brains trust concluded Mitch Marsh contributed nothing with the ball, and nothing with the bat.
And dropped him.
While Shane Watson set that as the bench mark for the all rounder in the team, I think we can expect more.
Why is he in the team?

He keeps Shaun in his happy place?

It's games like this as to why I love Test cricket, right to the end.

Anyone see any changes ahead of the 4th Test?

I would have, and probably still would do Marsh for Kwaja.
S. Marsh too old and apart from last innings doesn't perform when needed.

S Marsh just has a bad habit of getting injured at the wrong time a d would appear to be a sub continent specialist. I'm excited about the next Test and the potential of Stark, Hazlewood & Cummins at the Gabba
