Thanks to the help of Chrispy Champion I am oficially a longboard owner. As all I have had to learn on was my 8 footer which a buddy of mine had shaped for me I have been keen for a long time to get a mal. Chrispy kept his eyes out for me and Mumbles, if you are out there, I love you. Got the board yesterday and couldn't be happier. Going to take it out tomorrow for a splash!

So its official, the Astro is a longboard and is the goods. Took it out for a splash on Saturday in cleanish 1 foot waves and worked a treat, will take a bit of getting used to over the 8 footer but I think we will best of friends in no time. The thing paddles like a dream!

A few snaps below. Ted wanted dims so you got it and also Mac I took one for you on the grass because I know your into that type of thing.

Board is literally in near perfect condition, I couldn't believe it when I unwrapped it. So incredible stoked.

Fins nicely fully forward for some carv'n & looks like a great board. Very silimilar to mine in shape & same specs...but so awesomely white

No idea about fin placement, are they too far forward ??

Looks good to me mate...my understanding is that the further forward the looser the board is...& that's a modern mal shape, so it'll make it more maneuverable. I played around with mine a lot trying to set it up to nose ride, but all it did was make the board stiffer & my failed attempts to get up on the nose felt the same. My boards the same dims & I weigh 78kg...look forward to hearing how it goes for ya

PS: This was hand cleaned , de-waxed and loved by the Asea ..... you are one lucky farker mister mchenry , that's as god as an autograph

Pfffft it was just a profit maker for the farmer. De waxed and hand cleaned lol you make it sound technical. Went to good home instead
