Interesting to read everyone's thoughts...
Bec and I are getting married this Saturday afternoon and we made enquiries before we locked in the date.
A couple of those enquiries where with the RSL and some local returned veterans and they both thought that it the perfect way to celebrate the freedom that the soldiers fought for in all wars gone before us.
The 1pm curfew is still relevant and as long as events don't take away from the dawn celebrations and are after 1pm (shops open etc), the afternoon is about time with friends, rememberance and respect and with two up legal at our reception and beer / wine flowing at the Club our reception is being held at, we are really excited about having our day on the same day as the 100th Anzac Day with which we both had family part of historically.
....that's the beauty about opinions though huh ?
