HI all, Haven't checked in for awhile, Ted from finally rainy Santa Barbara. A year or so ago I sold my fourth Surftech McTavish Original and of course now regret it. I've been looking at the newish Fireball EVO II Surftech offered in some new construction called TLPC. Looks interesting and I'm tempted. Any of you guys try/have one of these? Very little info available here.

On another note my Von Sol HPTC is the best high performance longboard I've ever had. I know Sean Mattison travels extensively and ships boards all over when he does so thought I'd give him some props. I have a 9'0 in EPS with quad option, I' ve tried it with all kinds of fin combos and the best is actually as a thruster with FCS Channel Islands AM 2's with the FCS box converter. Incredible shortboard style rail to rail drive plus trim.

Thanks for any info on the McTavish, I know there are real aficnionados out there.

It was one of Bob's sons so I figured he knew the product. It was a Vuelo or G2 initially, but then I went for local developments of what I was riding (7' single) partly to keep that vibe, partly because shipping was out of control (over $2000 for a board) and partly because I figured locally developed rockers and bottoms would work better in our grunt and wobble. It was interesting that Mark initially refused to make what I was asking for in January. That's why local shapers are good - they can tell me when I have no idea, and tell me what will work.

And Lacey, you're weak. The lollies were damn funny - harsh, but funny.

I know of one here that snapped I don't think the GSI ones were very strong . The SLX ones in particular ..

F4 is that old it was a waist of time mentioning it replaced by the ufo,name change was due to some clown having copy right on the ufo on surfboards.
