I hope he sells it and uses the money to fund a lawn mower and new thongs.

Good condition tho.

The old boards are definitely getting harder and harder to get hold of

And getting more and more expensive with it .

Would be nice to have a shed full of them in the backyard .

Mate, I know what you mean. Have been scouring sites and everyone for them and still finding nothing. Popped into a shapers store the other day and was in awe at his collection of single fins, twinnies and the likes of past boards. Wonder if he'd sell/ let me go for a surf on one. Would love a few not only to surf but to hang up!

Two places with more valuable and heritage boards than I have seen anywhere else: Have not seen Carl Tanners personal collection but many are at Surfworld Currumbin.

- Maddog Byron Bay

- Montezumas Mooloolaba.

Best collection I have seen is under an old blokes house down here. At least 40 , could be 50-60 old boards mostly from the 60 s stacked one on top of the other .
You have to see it to believe it .
Hoping to get out for a surf on a couple this summer .

There is a guy around here with a collection like that although I have not seen it yet - just heard the stories.....make sure you look at the roof of Maddog in Byron if you are ever up there - he has a great collection. Also the bloke who owns Kuta Lines in SP Country has got some good ones as well by all reports.

I love this link from that ebay store

So if you get an old WL that he has ridden and shaped in the last few yrs it becomes a collectable after a couple of yrs...ummmm surely not! Something from yrs ago yes but not in recent times imo.

If its a single fin and has a sloppy box, does that make it sloppy seconds...

Yes Ted, I heard he has a few, there is actually a bit of a show thing on old boards at pacific dreams up here on the weekend, there was an article in the paper the other day, supposed to be some gems in there.
