The preliminary stuff is underway, FFA cup, new signings almost completed.

Big news is Tim Cahill to Melb City who have just signed last years top scorer for 3 years.

BOBO is coming to Sydnee FC, a brazilnut who chases turkeys.

Official announcements in the next few weeks

Sydney Derby opens the first round in early October @ the Olympic stadium. This game sells out at Alliance/Pirtek so it'll be interesting to see how many hooligans show up?Could be a game with some FLARE!

I tell you what my eldest boy loves his soccer but the way the fans carry on makes it a cold day in hell before I take him to see an A League match...honestly people should be ashamed of themselves take you historical bull**** and your ****ing flares and go back to which ever hole you crawled out of....

Take your boy to a game, you will be surprised. Particularly when Melbourne City are in town with Timmy. The atmosphere is better than any other sport in Australia. When the songs start, it's brilliant. Don't believe the bull***t that the rugby league based media report. I have been to going since the A League started and never had a problem.

Fans of any sport can be nasty, most are well behaved.

The Sydney derby is the big game of football at club level....I haven't been to the ping PONG colligwoodVcarlton but I imagine that would be the big game in AFL.The Rugby codes have to go to rep level to get any atmosphere.

In the 4 years of "the Derby" its a sellout....Homebush in Round one will be a test and probably a spectacle.

Well well, over 8000 @ Wolves(non A league) versus Sydnee FC, last night in Gong....it was only a round of 32 FFA cup tie

The last 2 NRL games have attracted 5500 and 7500 @ same venue

But WHO would want to watch StGeorge/illa?

What about the Jets compared to the Knights???

Zero ****s given about the jets by 95% of the town.. Knights can lose 15 in a row and pull 15,000.. Probably more then the Jets season..

Knights used to pull just over or just under 20k when they were doing OK,Jets usually pull 10-12k and they hardly ever do OK.Granted they had the one big season when they won.Tinklers $$$ were in both camps up until recently and both were middle of the road.

Big call. I don't think they have the depth. Could be Melbourne's turn this year, either Victory or City (if they can replace Mooy)!!

All comments by Mungoes, rah rahs and ping PONGers...uneeded here.

So FOOTBALL fans, the A league is at the climax stage....

FC have dominated and broken just about every record, CAN they win what matters?

I'm a fan of football and the A-League however I have not watched many games this year.

I did make a point of watching both games on the weekend and will be tuned into the GF.

Yes, by a long way....broke most of the records ONLY poor refereeing prevented the undefeated tag.

I hope they can retain Ninkovic, a class above

Lets hope they can retain all the foreigners, they are all good enough for next season.

Seems like the mateship in that team is pretty good and that could help retaining everyone.
