9'6 Billy Hamilton Stylist - "The Tufflite Version"Hi guys,
I haven't done a video review of this board yet... But;
It's 9'6 x just over 22 x 2"7/8. Fairly fine in the rails... Hand modern rails out the back...
At 66 Litres, it better suited to midweight to mid-light weight riders. I would say 70-90kg. But it will still work for 60-100kg too.
Very predicatable in the way it surfs... Single to Double Concave, and slight Vee out back. The most interesting feature is the Vee/Double-Concave just in front of the side biters. There is a pronounced Vee section in there, which give the board a very nice roll point... Rolling from Rail to Rail... rolling over to the cutback... A little like The Original by McTavish... through that same section of board...
Trims really well. Slightly narrow up the front, so not a true Nose Rider.
I would say it has a very neutral template / all-rounder template, and it's 9'6 like the old days, but has the new school rails, and 1+2 fin set-up.
I'm not riding mine much, as I'm riding mostly Bob's hand-shapes at the moment. And not riding the tufflite boards much either... Although it is a great board, and super light, and super strong, being a Tufflite, by Surftech!
So...
