Mac, good to see you going hard at training and off the rum.

Pup, on my 2nd chardy (soft I know but drinking with the Mrs and it doesn't bloat me).

Boof, before I cut the coffee out I was only having 2 large (4 shots) each morning.
A few years ago I used to have 5 per day (10 shots). I tried to stop twice but body was so used to those 10 shots of coffee per day that I was too irritable to go without. This is the reason I am doing it easier then last time.
It's health thing but mainly a cost cutting exercise as I eat out 6 breaky's a week and 5 lunches midweek. I just love my mornings pre-work where I sit down, read the Tele and enjoy my coffee with a healthy breaky of Avacadoe, smoked salmon on Multigrain toast. Spending $200-$250 per week is just out of control and could take the fam to Fiji each year for that. Yes, I could just get a take away coffee but fark that.

SP, I love my coffee with full cream milk and full of caf.
I know all the good spots for coffee around Sydney and enjoy trying new spots. The end of an era.
The chemicals they pump into decaf to remove the caf isn't great for you either.

Btw I have been sleeping in which means the body clock of 6am has gone and will need an alarm clock. I think my body is thinking and feeling more natural.
Now if you don't mind I am off for my neaxt chardy.

Yeah I'm kinda a coffe snob 2. A good coffee is a great thing.

SP, every cafe has their regular wankers that yell out "decaf soy thanks".
These are the alternate lifstyle living greenies with hairy armpits, have an arts degree in some course with no real purpose and/or benefit in the 'real world'.

A decaf soy is like ordering a non-alcoholic bourbon with diet coke - what's the farken point. You may as well drink herbal tea.

Well done Scotty. I gave up a mild v addiction. What is your herbal tea. I just started on fennel tea, good for bloating. Tastes like mild licorice. Easy to swallow.

Don't much like the idea of a caffeine free life, I really start to struggle about 2 or3 if I don't have my morning espresso. Found myself going off to the land of nod driving back from Mandurah on the freeway the other day after forgetting my morning brew. Shat myself and jumped off the next exit to get a couple of those horrid energy drinks to get me home.

Good work Scotty, but how are you going with the other New Years Resolutions!?

But giving up coffee and replacing it with something else is half easy! Alcohol or Ciggies are probably a far harder habit to give up. Caffeine is a semi easy one. When I go bush (walking/trekking) I don't take coffee. Your breakfast gets you going...
