Thank god for that I thought it was just me! More surfing in the trailer than the whole movie, discovery channel esque, I mean I'm crap at surfing but the surfing in this movie was so average. Bit disappointed as ther was scope there for a cracking movie. Good music though.

Kagey if you want to see a good surf flick have a look at One California Day . It's been around a while but it's one of the best I've seen. It's even got Joel Tudor on a SUP. oops I said it

Heh heh yeah I have a copy and you're right good movie. Unlike 30,000 the doco side of one California day is about surfing and a bit of history..about surfing which makes it far more watchable..just my humble limited opinion Yeah JT on prob a 11' Mickey Munoz.

I would buy the movie,it's something different the surfing is a bit better than good but what a great travel log. the travel side of it sets it apart from the current crop of movies and not too much deep and meaningful crapping on which seems to be the trend these days.
These guys are quite young and it's there first flick,i wish would have had the balls to do a trip like that when i was their age

I saw the film and really enjoyed it so I bought a copy. There's plenty of movies with champion surfers doing their thing, so I was very happy to see something different.
I watched it the other night with my daughter's boyfriend, who is a good shortboarder. I was a bit hesitant because I was expecting all the usual anti-longboard sentiment, but he really got into it, especially the different boards and the insane waves. His comment was that it made him more motivated than ever to travel to some exotic destinations.
Good luck to the young blokes who made the film for more travel and more movies.

Another good one is 'Castles in the Sky'. Bit different as it was shot over a few years I think with various surfers over the globe. Like in Ninefoot8's post, these surf movies really make u wanna just get out there and surf all these places!
