Not wanting to hijack Gils Topic but I am not ready to have a 2 board quiver with only 9ft plus boards in it. I reckon you need an 8 fter in a 2 board quiver. It might be 3 1/4 thick, but for beachies particularly I think 9th can sometimes be a handful.

And not wanting to draw attention to it, but it may need to be 3 board quiver, because somewhere in a dark corner, where nobody talks about in here, there might be a #€@.

I agree with your first comment - but not your second!!!!

Go a big boys fat-arsed fish... they are heaps of fun and will handle sucky beach breaks - particularly a quad.

Quiver haha I'm so over a three board longboard quiver.

Dropping down to just two.Oh what boards do I take but
the redline and ufo are always on top and the fb gets nothing.

I just cant handle my log and my FB gets left behind on the rack.

My new one should perfect for the small days a real all rounder and
the ufo will come as well, two boards simple, three does my head in

Daneli I fully agree and as such I have recently put my perfect 2 board quiver together exactly as you have suggested.

I now have my 8.5 for every day use and a 9.5 for pupsup'ing and cruising.

Finally we all agree on something

I haven't surfed for 6 months and am unlikely to for another 6 months so I've kept the 10 footer and sold a few and given away a few to my nephews. I just had my spine fused at L4 -L5 so I will lose very little flexibility. The good news is that with plenty of hard work I will be back out there again. So I will hang onto the 10 and get another 9'4 along the way. I plan to ride that lovely 9'4 Evo 2 and will probably settle on another one. My nephew has it and loves it.Further on I reckon an 8 footer will be on the cards though.

Yeah Mac I think I'm the favourite uncle. The boards were just sitting around so somebody should enjoy them and I can get the buzz from ordering a newbie when the time comes. Planning on a North Coast trip July / August so I might get to have a wave with some of you.

o

Sounds nasty. I had a dissectomy but hurt it again so now it's fused and the bad disc has gone so I should be right but have a long way to go.
