Have picked up my new shorty and went for a 2 + 1 setup as I love a good single fin. Conditions have not warranted it so have just put the FCS box adaptor into it so I can try it as a thruster. With the bolt screwed in, the fin isn't sitting exactly horizontal in the box. While it jutts out a few millimetres, it is slanted towards the front by less than a millimetre.

Now I'm no pro but will I feel any difference in this? Furthermore, is it bad to/ am I screwing the adaptor in too tightly? On a side not, the fin box feels too tight and my single fin regularly gets stuck in there! How do you guys manage to get the fins in and out smoothly?

Cheers guys!

No idea as I have called fins as not being right...then they are measured.....and well I call optical illusion because I'm never wrong

I would like to hear from peeps who do use the box coinverter though....as good as it looks,it just seems stupid to me to many variables at play imo

They work fine Chrispy.

Few seconds to sort out the first time but after that it is just like putting in a normal fin. I don't have any gaps and using the screws properly take out the movement. And gets it level.

The adaptor boxes have a screw at the base which you can use to increase or decrease their depth. This may be able to fix your issue.
A bit of lubrication can get tight fins going in and out better, a dash of sunscreen for example may help.
Now hit me with your best sex jokes as I mentioned box, screw, lubrication, penis and in and out in the same post.
