Have picked up my new shorty and went for a 2 + 1 setup as I love a good single fin. Conditions have not warranted it so have just put the FCS box adaptor into it so I can try it as a thruster. With the bolt screwed in, the fin isn't sitting exactly horizontal in the box. While it jutts out a few millimetres, it is slanted towards the front by less than a millimetre.
Now I'm no pro but will I feel any difference in this? Furthermore, is it bad to/ am I screwing the adaptor in too tightly? On a side not, the fin box feels too tight and my single fin regularly gets stuck in there! How do you guys manage to get the fins in and out smoothly?
Cheers guys!
