Hi, looking after recommendations for a 10' or longer single longboard bag with a full length zip which opens all the way to the nose, and possibly won't break the bank. Thanks!

The FCS Surf Hardware ones open like nowadays. Amazing quality.

While I like the FCS and FK bags, my second Surf Aids bag arrived today.
I got one 6 weeks (?) ago for my new 11' board. Was so impressed at price and quality, I ordered up a 12' custom.
Given the size of the 12', I decided to go with 10 mm foam as opposed to the 5 mm. Was a no-brainer, only an extra $40 for the 12' bag.
I thought I was impressed with the 11' bag.... 12' bag is even better.

Rusty - If you do contact Surf Aids, can you let us know if they can do the full length zipper?

You're right.
Interestingly, their custom order form doesn't list zipper options, but their 'stock' covers, which are essentially custom covers anyway with all the options, go to 180" zippers on the 5 mm covers and 160" on the 10 mm covers.... so more than enough to run the full length for a 10' cover (if my math is correct......)

The type of material used is also an important factor to consider. The body of most bags is made of oxford or nylon, which are known for their durability. Some pricier models are built from water-resistant fabrics. Aside from the fabric, make sure to check the quality of the zippers used.
