I liked it..thanks Ian.

That last guy was looking good till he tried to stick his head into to wave..

A bit like this guy....It's always funny when it's someone else..

Do you know, by any chance, who the artist is of the song in the clip, uk? I reckon it's a great cover of the wipeout!

incidently ive fallen onto my board and ridden it like the bloke at 40secs

In respond to the cover of wipeout, since the video is from YouTube, I went and searched up the video and commented about the video. The guy that posted the video replied, telling me Dick Dale is the artist of this particular version of the song. I searched Dick Dale on the iTunes store - there is no "Wipeout" under his name! I'm disappointed - it's a great cover! Anyway, I went back to the video on YouTube to comment again, but he's blocked future commenting, so I'm stuck with this great song in my head but nowhere to find it! So very frustrating!

The second time I went to the video, I took more notice of the actual waves - and I'm jealous! I live in Perth, so even those waves look good - in the size department (we've had no swell in weeks). Any idea of where the break is (I'm assuming it's in America somewhere)?

Sparki in response to your response about the cover, ive done the same research
as you and i too am dissappointed. although it has led to my appreciation of
Dick Dale whom before i had never heard of quite embarrasing really
considering his apparent celebrity, and I play guitar and feel i should have heard of him.anyhow if you have searched Dick Dale on youtube you will have seen and heard some pretty good playing. My search continues Ian

P.s.i think the break is at North Carolina USA if you follow this link
there are some photos that look like the same Pier. Ian

I think this version was on a CD call Music for our Mother Ocean that was a fund raiser for the surf rider foundation. By Gary Hoey and Donavon Frankenreiter, 1996 surfdog records. Great CD, was listening to it post surf yesterday. Pearl Jam do a version of Gremmie out of control that is classic. Surfrider foundation may have some old copies left, great music

Yay! Finally found it - thanks Nev. I looked up Gary Hoey on iTunes and found "Wipe Out" under the album called "Monster Surf", which is a list of surf song covers. Thanks very much.

uk/Ian; I watched some of the short vids on the link, and I can definitely say that I have never wanted to start SUP boarding more! They got onto the waves SO easily, and once on, they made it look so cruizey!
