Jeepers ! Is that a dead snake !?

Don't kill them, just let them pass on by ! That one looks little and "almost" harmless.

I heard that 80% of snake bites are related to trying kill or catch snakes.... ????

Do you think the kill would have been more efficient if you had been using a paddle with a little more dihedral ? I can fully understand why you werent able to let that snake go by - its common knowledge that starboard paddles have great catch but the release is probably not as good as a full carbon kevlar model.

(on a serious note - if you got animals or kids a good snake is a dead one)

Hey i am with you on leaving them alone ....but he was at the front door and my 9 yr old would have stepped on him for sure if he had gone out the door before me...he had to go :( brown snake...young but can still bite.

Yeah, I hear you Jas. I saw the tail of a "big boy" last summer, and I was very pleased to see it quickly moving away.

A paddle is a reasonable instrument for the job actually ! Long, and light.....
