hi all
i tried to find this in the forum. What is the best way to add tail grip/pad to and exsisting board starboard candy 2010
Had some advise already
1 just put it straight over the excisting grip (eva)
2 add some 3m glue the to excisting grip then add tail pad

Any thoughts or experience in doing this would be helpful
cheers matt

if you have a "Clark Rubber" store or similar near by they will have a waterproof glue that should bond the two grips.

You needed to get the 8'.10" Widepoint so that I didn't sink it when I borrowed your precious "little baby". Is it still spending every night in bed with you? Do all PE teachers have lunch at the same time? Swanie,Wazza? Sparx? Matt?

Kawana at the Buddina end. Buying a new 12'6 BOP board this arvo. Either the Naish Gide or Jav. Thinking it will be the Jav. Will take it for a test this arvo. Not much surf here at present as we had 4 days of strong offshore.

Cutting around first is much neater but marine grade Sika Flex will do the job no worries at all.

No need to rub it in! We have 3 to 4 foot and offshore but one and half hours away and cold. Have fun!! What was this thread about again? Get back to it men!!

I made a little kick pad out of a about 4 or 5 layers of grip for my back foot. I was too cheap to buy a full tail pad and really like to have a 'stopper' at the back to rest my foot against.

I just used the glue on the grip and it has stayed there totally fine. I did use roughened flat grip with no groves or diamonds though - this gave me more surface area to stick the layers together with.
