It's handy shooting early morning into the sun (back lighting) , my pro gear has inbuilt filters but I really try to avoid shooting directly into the sun. Not good for the camera sensor.
Great vid! Looked like you were having fun on those waves.
I may need to invest in one of those - except that I often surf half a km from where I park... 100% better than GoPro. Do you spend much time setting it up, or do you just set it down, turn it on, and paddle out?
Hey cantSUP..Thanks for feedback..once you have set it up a couple of times..it's pretty quick and straight forward. I turn my arm tag on in the car and place it on dashboard..need 10min on to be able to pair when u arrive at beach it's ready to go. The most crucial thing to get right is zoom and centering..don't try to go to close up( u can zoom in on editing process) and always make sure your in the centre of frame before pairing..Great unit..well worth it..mine is the soloshot1
I just saw that the latest product is SoloShot 3 - but you have to wait for the US Spring before it will ship. They have their own cameras, and they say you can set it up in 30 seconds. Looks good.
Might have to start a soloshot video thread looks like a few out there. Looking forward to the 3 as you feel like such a ponce wondering around the beach with the tag
