Is there any best way to get the old glue off? Tried blow comb...

A towel soaked in turps left on it over night.

NEVER NEVER NEVER acetone. It will destroy your board and your liver.

As dazza said, a cloth wet with solvent F or turps, with a plastic sheet on it to limit evaporation (garbage bag), and in 10 minutes the glue comes off by itself.

I have found it takes at least overnight to soak through the old pad.
The longer you leave it, the cleaner the removal.
Go crazy with the turps volume, but beware stickers on the board - mask them off and cover in glad wrap if likely to get impacted.
The turps needs to get through the old pad and dissolve the glue.
If not left long enough you will remove the old pad but leave the glue on the board, needing another application of turps and glad wrap to soften the glue so it can be scraped off.
I am talking 6 or 7 year old boards, newer might not take as long.
The resultant glue / turps goop is very messy

As Nozza said ... it definitely works as i have done it now on 3 boards successfully.

Don't be afraid of spreading the turps and then use black plastic from Bunnings and wrap it up and walk away and don't come back till the next day. Glue may need a plastic paint scraper to get the residue off.

I did this to remove a massive pad on a 12ft Starboard SUP, that really thin stuff they cover them in. Took four attempts in sections and quite a lot of elbow grease but all of it came off.

Left it to dry after liberal washing down, re-glued another pad on it the next day.. Looked ace until my mate threw the clew of a windsurf rig on it and put a massive dent in it

I though toolate has already removed the pad and wanted to get rid of the glue residue: in this case, 10mn is sufficient.

I guess overnight is needed if you want to remove entirely the pad chimically, but I would not do it: removing the pad is not so hard, it is the remaining glue that is hard to remove.

yes my pad is liftingn off on its own. I can peel it away with little trouble.
Glad to know turp is safe and effective!

ah, and some advice:
After the 10mn, lift (fold) only a bit of the cloth and remove the glue that was covered, and then proceed by steps, lifting the cloth just to immediately remove the glue. If you remove the whole cloth, the glue will re-dry and re-stick quickly.

What if you think you mite have some holes under the pad,won't the turps dissolve the Eps.
How do you get the pad off if that's the case?

I would first remove the pad mechanically. Bumping it gently at the point of contact with the board with a hard plastic squeege while you pull on it , or use a multi-tool if you feel careful enough.

Then just use... vegetable oil on the glue, it should also work just like butter work for tar stains.
