Riding any board in the Maldives is a good thing, so you can't go wrong.
Having said that, knowing nothing about the Steeze, I have been to the Maldives three times; once on a mal and twice with sups. Some of the waves can be steep and barreling and the Steeze does not appear to have a lot of rocker. On my first SUP trip I took my 8'10 Speeed and had a ball, but I was wary of pearling/nose-diving - you don't wand to be launched head-first on to a reef... I also had a Naish Hokua X32 which was better on the late drop. On my last trip I took two Sunova Acids (8'7 and 9'1) and I felt they were better suited - even though I managed to drive the 9'1 straight down into the reef... The Acid also has sharper/thinner rails which I think are well suited to those waves.
