Decided to join you in the 24" width.
JM 17'6" x 24" arrived today - new for me.
Wrapt with the board - near new condition.
Won't be downwinding this - flatwater board.
Will actually be happy if I can paddle it at all!
Could be a project for warmer weather and warmer water.
SUK? Stand up kayak?
I was / am not a fan of the standing in a canoe look.
Love Naish / SIC boards that look like surfboards, not canoes.
But the lower centre of gravity probably makes it possible to paddle rather than impossible.
Feeling from standing in / on it was "I'm on a board" rather than "I'm in a boat".
And does it really matter?
I had fun for about 20 minutes that I wouldn't have.
Can't believe I said that - next I'll be buying a Starboard.
And as the bow goes down and the waves come over, the kayak shape looks just fine.
