Love getting new (old) boards.
Full of admiration for the 24" width - I can do about 50m on the daughter's 24" LE between swims.
If I go flat out and have a bit of luck.

Hey Teatrea
Decided to join you in the 24" width.
JM 17'6" x 24" arrived today - new for me.
Wrapt with the board - near new condition.
Won't be downwinding this - flatwater board.
Will actually be happy if I can paddle it at all!
Could be a project for warmer weather and warmer water.

I've actually struggled to find where the 24" wide part is - most of it looks 23 and a bit

I don't have / have never had a shed or garage at home.
Everything has to live on / in the car.
This is a storage space I lucked in to about a year ago.
It's gunna be tough if I ever lose it - made all the board stands out of "found" timber - stuff that had been racks in a shipping container.
Everyone needs something similar.
But no matter how big - you fill it.
I had to double stack boards and re arrange covers this morning to fit the new one in.

I can paddle it!!!!!
Very limited paddle hiding from left over chop in Half Moon Bay.
But could stand no worries - less than relaxed on the board, but felt awesome speed for effort wise.
6 degree air and 11 degree water did not encourage me to be too adventurous.
Lack of rocker fairly alarming in only tiny reflected waves.
On the roof for tomorrow.

I was / am not a fan of the standing in a canoe look.
Love Naish / SIC boards that look like surfboards, not canoes.
But the lower centre of gravity probably makes it possible to paddle rather than impossible.
Feeling from standing in / on it was "I'm on a board" rather than "I'm in a boat".
And does it really matter?
I had fun for about 20 minutes that I wouldn't have.
Can't believe I said that - next I'll be buying a Starboard.
And as the bow goes down and the waves come over, the kayak shape looks just fine.
