Hey Dogman, Great surfing. Carvin it up. I couldn't get the music working though - by the sound of things you accidently recorded some cutlery getting caught in your garbage disposal unit.
Sorry if you've mentioned this elsewhere and I've missed it - what's your take on paddle length for surfing? It looks like you've gone just a couple of inches overhead??
Cheers mate and thanks again!

hi wavelength

heres a tip from keahi n geoff breen

when watching one of my vids they put on the greatest hits of ABBA (as thats the heaviest thing they listen too) and mute the videos volume for a much more soothing effect......

personally i think that GOJIRA track is epic!!!!!!!!!!!!

loads of raw emotion went into the editing centred around it that track.....lol........

PS. i love playing the drums....and metal is the shizz!!!!!!!!! end of rant.....

Sic vid and waves.
I would eat a small dog to be able to have waves like that where I am, thinking there are going to need to be many-a roadie coming up.
Even if I have to don a wettie again!

Interesting topic this paddle height bizzo.I checked mine the other day and their about 2 inches above head hight,I'm thinking of buying another 1 and going shorter.I have 3 boards now 9'11",10'6" and just picked up a 12'er all psh,I'm really enjoying learning to ride the larger boards.I would be very interested if you would care to go into more detail about what boards and what conditions you would use your different paddles in.

its a personal thing shaft height....lol....
i know those boards gumballs and great boards they are
id be punting around the 1 1/2 above head height as they are large volume boards in my eyes
the shorter the paddle makes it easier to negotiate in the whitewater when your struggling but if its an easy paddle back out thru a channel go a bit more length as your back will love you for it days later.......

sick vid Doggie!!
I reckon a bit of 'dutch rudder' action might have been all that was needed to make that last left

Yeh,I think I will get another one and cut it around head hight as I'm mostly out in choppy beach break and that tends to keep my knees bent a lot. What I did was I stood on a milk create and held my paddle so the blade would be fully submerged and then tried to get my top arm in as comfortable a position as possible without reaching too high and about 2" is what I came up with.I am definately going to get a smaller more responsive board in the future but not yet(no where to put it anyway I'm tripping over them as it is.)Thanks for the feedback and may good waves come your way.
