For the money it seems fine , I don't think it will be as wide angle as the go-pro. it shoots on a lower setting than the go-pro HD so not as good as quality BUT you need to set the Go-pro at 720 if you want to do slo-mo.

It's long shape might be better for releasing heat and avoiding flogging issues IMO and 32 gig storage is good so is the low light feature .

Overall if you put the 2 cameras together the Go Pro HD will produce much cleraer sharper footage.IMHO

That's right , so for the money it looks OK , it's ergonomic shape makes it much better as a paddle or head cam.

The Go-pro Hd naked is a $100 more , I just went through the go -pro specs and it actually shots 3 levels above this camera , HUGE difference. The 720 at 30 frames per second is the lowest setting on the Go-pro. The only time you would bring the go-pro down to 720 is for slow mo but it would be on a frame rate of 60 fps the KB is only half that at 30fps. The more frames per second the smoother the slow-mo it will jerk at 30fps.

The KB is old technology wrapped up in a new bundle , save the extra $100 and buy the go-pro HD.

Thanks for the heads up on these cams, for $150 its worth having a play around with, I agree with Piros the configuration may actually reduce fogging and that has always been a major issue with the GP

Im not looking for slomo just clean images and video for training purposes.

Has anyone tried one out?

Good looking camera matches the Go-Pro spec wise but once you add on all the bits and pieces it's way dearer than the G0-Pro.

Wait till you see Gopro's new one :-) I just recently toured the GoPro Headwaters in Half Moon Bay, met all the guys finally and ducked into Engineering and Production.

Also for you big wave surfers out there, i was fortunate enough to spend some time with Mavericks Legend Jeff Clark, how blue are those eyes??
