Many surfers here use them for transporting short boards. Occasionally longboards but I have never seen a SUP carried that way. The thickness of the board and size makes it problamatic. I transport my surf SUPs all the time by bike but use a simple trailer that I made. The board however needs to be in a bag for this trailer to work.

that might be literal if you get on one of those things mate. get up earlier and beat the traffic. if you must ride please don't wear lycra

I tried one for my old hokua..9'1x32. Didnt work and if the wind caught it you were gone! I made up a trailer unit to toe behind the bike but have never used it. I just get up early ...

That's it, I'm wearing the lycra to bed so I can just get up and go. Thinking if the wind gets up I'm going to use the board like a sail and tack up and down the surfcoast highway.

My two cents.
Had a long ride to the beach as a kid in the 80's. Once the boards get over about 7ft you have to go the trolley.
We made many of varying success. Keep it simple, light and the weight down as low as you can. If you go with mates one poor bastard tows everybodies to the beach or worse home. Trolleys are easy to roll over when you get too enthusiastic, with devastating damage to uncovered rails and fins! Any slop in the way your hitch it to your bike is a real pain when you are pushing hard.

I live close to beach that the parking gets too busy. The "Sup Wheels" are great. Low and stable so don't tip over and quick to use.
The advertising says you can use them with a bike but might be a bit of mucking around with. We live on a hill and I just walk the 500m to beach. Can send photo or link tomorrow.

We have a kayak (that troll for fish) with wheels and tried using them and higher and hard to secure.
