Read that today. Interestingly, Japan has chosen property over beach, and is well on the way to fortifying the entire coastline, at the expense of beach loss. But fear not, they also build public beaches...with very little parking...for a fee. Okinawa is very much becoming Hawaii, only no one really cares about what the locals want here.
