While we don't need a lot up here the wind can get a bit cutting at times. I have come across these Sharkskin Chillproof products and was wondering if anybody as used them or has anything better?

A few folks down here use sharkskin garments and rate them, including the pre-dawn-training-all-through-melbourne-winter crowd.

I got the Vaikobi pants and they work a treat when it's 10 outside, they have breathable sections on the leg like skins and dry our well. I used them in a DWer and fell in a few times, got cold in the water but once I was on the board again warm as toast.
Good compression too for recovering muscles after a long paddle.

Do you know of a retailer in Vic where you can try them on?

Snorkel & Dive Sarfari in Heidleberg, Mick.

www.snorkelsafari.com.au/category/30-sharkskin-chillproof

Usually not a lot in stock, so don't travel up there expecting 3 sizes of everything in stock, but they will order for you.
I use a long sleeve top, but it's not warm enough by itself for a 6am winter paddle in Melbourne.

Hbeat98, I'd say that it WOULD be warm enough for Qld all year round

We know all about winter paddling down here and a good pair of gumboots and a TassieSUP hoodie is all you need
