Dumb question, can water get trapped under the deck pad grip????

My hover 140 has a bit of lifting of the deck pad around the handle,1cm in length.

I left it in the sun and water started bubbling from around the lifting part,of the pad ,checked out the board and around the pad, there seems to be no other dings or shatters for water to get in.

so can it be trapped under the pad,the pad in general isn't lifting or feel as though it's loose

thx

Could be getting in anywhere and coming out where the glass comes up to the handle insert

Most probably, you have a crack in the deck around the handle, and your board is filling up with water.

You should fix it at once (remove the pad, open the crack, let the foam blank dry, repair), otherwise your board is going to gain weight it will not be able to shed (... as for us all :-) ).

A pad can lift if left in the sun, as some glues can melt, but you will not see bubbles.

Thx for the time and effort to reply I'll have to take a much closer look.

I wasn't sure if water could be trapped between the pad and the deck

cheers
