Today I notice that "swooshing" sound of water in my beloved Naish fixed paddle. Not sure how it got in . Any tricks to removing water without the need to take handle off ? Can leaving in the sun help evaporation or will that damage a carbon paddle ?

I'd drill the smallest hole possible In my T handle then just hang it untill it's empty. But of silicone once finished to plug the hole.

I'd take the handle off and reseal it properly.
Water's gotta be getting in somewhere.

stand up for a few days ..with some sun .or until all swishing is gone ..then sand around the handle joint ..where your glue has
shrunk ..if you used glue .??

i then got a few threads of carbon or normal matting thread .or glass matting .and mix up some fibre glass ..totally seal the handle joint ...
.it will never happen again..

also check the joint at the blade ..my naish leaked there ..i glassed and carbon matted that too.

Thanks Tardy. When you say "stand up" is the paddle head on the floor or is the T handle on the floor ?

Hhhmmmm..good question ..if its leaking at the handle ...maybe a few rotation s...the sun will heat it up and push it out .mine was leaking at the handle first so I went handle down ..but I gave it a good shake ..all clear ..then glassed it .
then mine was leaking at the blade ,so blade down ..mine hasn't leaked since so I got it ..
he's a picture of my over kill job ..but strong as ever .
