Yes, it is a board designed mainly for waves from hip to head-high. The raisl have not a lot of volume actually, due to the domed deck. But for bigger or more powerful waves, you need to be careful to properly dig the rail, and I have a similar shape but with a more pulled-in tail, and a tad less volume and width: 7'4" x 28" x ~ 115 liters that you can see here: (alas in inconsistent waves)

but I must say it is hard work, so when I am a bit tired I tend to play it safe with a 8'4" x 30" x 125 liters more traditional (mini-gun) shape, or a low volume (105 l) 7'6" "Tomo" with lots of rocker.

So much that she even married me :-)

But she only comes at the end of my sessions, she is not masochistic enough to go to the beach before the sun is out :-)
