None of the waves looked like Ulus to me?? But the barrel that Lucas gets at Super Suck at 3.50 is insane!! Supers is one of the heaviest waves ive ever surfed and definitely not sup friendly. I thought it was an awesome Vid.

My point - big call best vid of the year. I found it inconsistent. Some epic shots cut with some odd stuff like the fish and the standing on the rock. Still a solid surf film of mainly prone surfing and there are lots of those out there, not sure it is the best this year.

Great vid, but have to agree with hilly. I love barrels but gotta say they do get a bit boring if not mixed up with smacking. Great vid thoughthanks.

Being honest, I wonder if I would paddle for that? Talk about an adrenaline rush! But it would take serious kahunas to paddle for it.

If it was a right-hand break I would do it for sure

Best you've posted up Skeeee. What and enjoyable ride that was, a ripper and a stoker.

Paddle's not much use after you pull in.

Im not 100% sure Hilly but I think its Desert Point. Not sure I want to surf it at this size. I was ****ting myself at 8ft and id call this 12ft plus. If you do go there make sure you post the footage

Im not 100% sure Hilly but I think its Desert Point. Not sure I want to surf it at this size. I was ****ting myself at 8ft and id call this 12ft plus. If you do go there make sure you post the footage


Not convinced it is Desert Point never seen an elevated camera angle like that on it. Looks sick and yes I would film it. I have a sneaking suspicion they towed in for a photo "opportunity " looking at the wake in the lip and the fact there are not more waves videoed.

The photo you have posted is hardly an elevated angle? Check out YouTube " Caio Vaz surfs perfect barrels in Indonesia"

Still surprised it is one wave only. But you are right it says Desert Point, must have been a macking swell for DP to be that big. Good riding in this vid which is better than the original vid in this thread IMO.
