It happened to me 2 months ago. SUPing alone on a peak, then crowds came in and a grumpy old local began to sing me this song (the only time for the 3 months I have been there). As I have been struggling with a new low volume board, I lost my temper, and closed in on him, and try to force him to try it... he retreated and I did not heard him anymore.
Of course the really hard part is to never botch a take off close to surfers... instant credibility loss.
