Sunday December 16th 2012 - Sign Up from 7:30am, Race at 9:30am.

RPS The Boardstore presents Race 3 of the Vic Flat Water Championship SUP Series, the Half Moon Bay Blast, to be held at Half Moon Bay, Black Rock, VIC.

Two Race distances will be offered - 5km & 10km, to challenge paddlers at any level.

This is sure to be another fun & competitive race day for everyone, with the 5km race a perfect challenge for the novice paddlers wanting to try out racing, or for the hard-core paddlers more tuned to sprinting it out over 5km. The 10km race will see old rivals reunited with scores to settle after two rounds of the Vic Flat Water Series.

Registrations will open online from Tuesday December 4th, so check back on this thread for a link...

This will be followed by the annual SUP VIC Member's Barbecue & Party - at the Half Moon Bay SLSC from midday. We may even see Santa paddle by for a visit.

That will depend entirely on who has the most influence over Warwick at RPS. If I get my way, there will be virtually no turns. If it's up to Dean Elcoast, the course will look like a cross stitch pattern.

I reckon 10k of cross-stitch would give even Dean the sh1ts

after a couple of the last few events.... I am happy just to paddle 5k into a head wind, wait for a wind change and do it another 5k into the return head wind.. it is a Melbourne paddle after all

Wont matter which point of the compass you are heading for.

So it's official that there will be a 10km and 5 km course.
