G'day breezes How's this for the ultimate challenge! It all went down on Friday the 6th July 2012. I did two Downwind Paddles on the same day, but in two different Hemispheres. I paddled my SIC f18 Gold Coast/Australia from Bilinga to North Burleigh total 11 kms. Conditions:- Small craft advisory windy with choppy seas. Small short period wind waves. Seas: SE 1.5 to 2 meters at 9 seconds. Wind S 18 to 24 knots. I then jumped on a Plane and flew to Maui/Hawaii got picked up at the Kahului airport in Mark Raaporst Camo Truck an did a Downwind Paddle at Maliko on my SIC Bullet 14.5 kms conditions:- Breezy white caps with moderate choppy seas. Moderate short period wind waves. Seas: ENE 6 feet at 8 seconds. Wind: E 14 to 19 knots. What an all time awesome 24 hour experience, stoked.
