I've used them (Kayak courier) and I know many friends that have used him without any issues.. He uses a huge truck with padded racks inside.. He usually makes a time that you meet him to pick up rather than just drop off somewhere.. You could hardly blame him for what happens after he's dropped it off.
I agree with you DJ,as I clearly stated probably not his fault. My point being you take a big risk, transporting fragile goods long distances,I personally only use board couriers,as they are the only ones touching the board, that is why I used kayak courier for the second time, with this system the trouble starts when other / or multiple handlers get involved after the board couriers drop off,as was this case, but no one could prove, when the delam occurred ,I just feel for the poor guy who purchased the board payed freight, waited nearly 3 months to get it ,opened an unmarked well packed box and found a delamed board, pretty much a right off, second point ,the tnt delivery is normally fraught with the possibility of damage because of multiple handling that's why I never use them ,I stated this strongly to the purchaser but he took full responsibility for his decision, and it eventually turned up in perfect condition!,I have bought and sold / couriered approximately 40 boards,39 with surf board specific couriers, and only one failure!.. Used a commercial courier once from qld .Perth by road with success go figure ..moral to the story GOOD LUCK
