This is very important. Leaving your board in the sunlight is just playing russian roulette with it. You may not see apparent damages, but its life expectancy will be severely reduced, and the amount will be random...
A bag with a reflective outside , or at least white, is mandatory. No need for vents if you just leave the zip open on 1'-2'. I leave mine open from mid-board to the fins.
On the beach, some tricks for leaving it some minutes without a bag: put it on the side to minimize the exposed area, cover with a white towel, put it under a cheap board (eg the kids inflatable :-) ), recover with a sand layer...
